Mark's Priorities
Public Safety
Nothing local government does matters more than keeping our residents, businesses, and visitors safe. That responsibility comes first, and I’m grateful the Morgan Hill Police Officers Association and CAL FIRE Local 2881 recognize my commitment to that end. Going forward, I will continue to make certain our police and fire departments are equipped with the resources they need to serve our community well, including additional staffing, as needed, for our police department.
Youth Sports and Recreation Tourism
With youth sports and recreation expected to be a $154 billion industry in the coming years, Morgan Hill is well positioned to become a destination for regional youth sports tournaments and competitions driving revenue to our businesses, restaurants, and the City. I will work with local coaches, youth sports directors, hoteliers, and others, to implement that vision, invest in youth sports infrastructure, work towards an indoor sports facility, and overhaul the sports fields at the Recreation Center.
Economic Prosperity
I will continue working to create an environment in which our local businesses can grow and add jobs, and in which companies considering expansion or relocation recognize Morgan Hill as the right place to invest. I will partner with key stakeholders across innovation and advanced manufacturing, retail, recreation, and healthcare to cultivate a diverse range of career opportunities. A broad mix of industries and job types ensures that residents at every stage of their working lives have meaningful options here at home, closer to their families and to their community.
